Ngakpa Chogyam with Lama Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche
Lama Yeshé Dorje Rinpoche was one of Ngakpa Chögyam’s five Root Lamas. Here I discuss their relationship, focusing particularly on its breakdown. Fallout from that breakdown is one of the two main roots of aggression towards Aro.
I will cover:
- Ngakpa Chögyam’s study with Rinpoche and Rinpoche’s authorization of him as a lama.
- Rinpoche’s conflicts with other lamas and with his wife.
- The reasons Ngakpa Chögyam disobeyed some of Rinpoche’s orders.
- Rinpoche’s denial that he had authorized Ngakpa Chögyam as a lama.
- The defamation letter.
- Continuing opposition to Ngakpa Chögyam from Rinpoche’s former students, and the choices they have now.
